Leo happens to be one worried dog. The concerned pup tore a hole in his favorite brown stuffed animal which he takes everywhere with him, and he didn’t know what to do.

Everyone has their favorite companion. From kids having their favorite blanket to grown adults having their good luck charms, no one is exempt from having a “special something”. Even man’s best friend can have a companion to call his own.

We’d all feel concerned if we noticed that something had happened to our favorite something.  This cute Golden doodle, named Leo, is no exception, as he felt a rush of emotions while observing a stitch surgery of his favorite little brown plushie.

Leo’s owner, Hayley Alaxanian, recounted that hours before the operation; Leo and his favorite toy were having a fun time together like they usually do. But this day, like so many other lovable canines, Leo’s excitement and enthusiasm while playing with his toy got the better of him.

It appears Leo was having too much of a good while playing when he accidentally tore a part of his stuffed friend. Heartbroken to see his companion’s cotton poking out of the tear, Leo tried his best to salvage the situation.

Thankfully Hayley’s dad was on the scene when the damage happened, and he quickly sprung to action.

“[My dad] took the toy away from him and put it away so he couldn’t reach it, but he was crying and trying to reach for it,” Hayley said. “That’s when my dad decided to get his sewing kit out and started sewing it back together.”

Like any other fellow who’d be concerned about the well-being of an injured friend, Leo never left his little friend’s side, even during the open-cotton surgery.

A hundred thoughts must have run across little Leo’s mind during the operation. Still, it was apparent he was hoping for a successful prognosis of the surgery, mostly because this was Mr. Alaxanian’s first time performing a dog-toy-surgery.

Leo showed how worried he was by nuzzling the arm of Hayley’s dad as if to tell him to please be careful while stitching up his friend.

After several minutes of securing the stuffed animal’s wound with long strands of dark-brown thread, Leo’s toy’s surgery was a success.

Relieved to have his friend handed back in better condition, Leo savored the reunion with his favorite toy and resumed their daily activities together.

Leo’s family hopes the event taught him how to play more gently with his best friend. Still, they’re equally confident that if any such accident were to occur again, there’s an experienced dog-toy surgeon in the house ready to salvage the situation.
